The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Wole Oluyede, has declared that he is reaching every corner of the state, engaging all voters and critical stakeholders across party lines in a determined push to secure victory in the June 20, 2026 election.
Oluyede made this declaration while addressing a charged crowd of supporters at Green Hill Hotel, Ikere Ekiti, shortly after returning from an official trip outside the state.
Welcomed by an enthusiastic reception, the PDP flagbearer made it clear that no political barrier will stop his momentum, insisting that Ekiti people are already aligning with his vision for change.
“I am working on everybody—across all political parties and interests. This election is beyond party lines; it is about rescuing Ekiti from stagnation and failed leadership,” he declared.
Oluyede stated that his campaign is gaining unstoppable acceptance, as his ideas continue to resonate with a population eager for real development rather than empty promises.
“I have taken my programmes to the people, and they are buying into them because they see sincerity and capacity. Unlike the current administration, I am offering practical solutions, not propaganda,” he said.
Taking a swipe at the ruling government, Oluyede emphasised that his administration would deliver concrete projects, including independent power generation to drive economic growth.
“The Independent Power Plant (IPP) is not theory—it is working elsewhere, including where I reside abroad and in Abia State. By the grace of God, I will bring it to Ekiti. We cannot continue to live in darkness while others are progressing,” he added.
He also dismissed excuses around infrastructure failure, pointing to the state’s natural resources as evidence that development is being deliberately neglected.
“Look at the rocks around us—these are resources for quality road construction. Fixing Ekiti roads is not rocket science; what has been lacking is vision and sincerity. That will change under my leadership,” he stated.
Oluyede called on PDP members and all well-meaning Ekiti citizens to close ranks and deliver a decisive victory, stressing that the time for complacency is over.
“This election is a defining moment. We must unite and take back our state. Ekiti belongs to the people, not to a few individuals clinging to power,” he said.
He commended party leaders for ongoing efforts to strengthen unity, but warned that victory would only come through collective action and determination.
Expressing total confidence, Oluyede declared that no matter who emerges as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defeat is inevitable.
“With the level of support and engagement we have built across Ekiti, APC is already defeated. The people are ready, and nothing can stop this movement,” he concluded.
