*A Call to Duty*
We, the Concerned Ekiti Professionals, write with a profound sense of responsibility to the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Ekiti State stands at a crossroads. The forthcoming gubernatorial election is not just another contest, it is a battle for the soul of our state.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration has left Ekiti people disillusioned, battered by propaganda, and burdened with untold hardship. The people have had enough. Ekiti cannot afford another four years of clueless governance.
*The Alternative: Dr. Wole Oluyede*
In Dr. Wole Oluyede, the PDP has a candidate who embodies competence, integrity, and transformative leadership. He is a viable alternative to the failed promises of the incumbent. His vision for Ekiti is rooted in progress, prosperity, and dignity.
With Oyebanji’s abysmal performance, Oluyede stands a strong chance of victory if the PDP leadership closes ranks and provides him with the full weight of support he deserves.
*The Betrayal Within*
It is regrettable that some PDP leaders in Ekiti, who should be championing the party’s cause, have shamelessly chosen to support the incumbent for selfish gain. This betrayal undermines the collective interest of the party and insults the sacrifices of loyal members.
Yet, the people of Ekiti have resolved: Enough is enough. They are ready to reject Oyebanji’s shenanigans and embrace a new dawn under Oluyede.
*A Call for Unity*
We urge the national leadership of the PDP, its governors, and key stakeholders, including the Minister of FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike, to intervene decisively. The time has come to put aside personal differences and ambitions, and to unite for the greater good of Ekiti.
The PDP must rally behind Dr. Oluyede, providing him with the resources, solidarity, and strategic support necessary to secure victory at the polls.
*Our Commitment*
As a non-partisan group, we are committed to mobilizing voters and ensuring that the voice of the people is heard. Our loyalty is not to any party, but to the progress and welfare of Ekiti State.
History will not forgive us if selfishness and disunity hand Oyebanji another undeserved term. The time to act is now.
