The Nigerian Police, Oyo State Command has said that the cause of the Tuesday’s night explosion at Bodija Area of Ibadan, the state capital was yet to be ascertained.
The police in a terse statement of X platform also said the number of injured and dead were yet to be determined.
The statement reads, ” Explosion around Dejo Oyelese Street Bodija Ibadan around 7:44pm today (Tuesday) 17/01/2024.
” The cause of the explosion is unknown.Number of Dead and Injured yet unknown as search continues.
Ample deployment on ground.Updates coming up soon.”
Meanwhile, the Oyo State Government has called for calm.
This was stated by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade via a press statement.
