Foremost gospel musician, Dr. Funmi Aragbaye, will be the host to creme de la creme of Nigeria on her 70th birthday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, at the weekend.
The event will hold at the Felicia Hall, Jogor Centre, Liberty road, off Rong Road, Ibadan.
According to the iconic musician, the event will be graced by the creme of the Christian society, political leaders, top government officials, both federal and states, celebrities and a host of others.
“They will gather together to celebrate the gospel music legend, Evangelist (Dr.) Funmi Aragbaiye, who is celebrating 70th birthday anniversary and over four decades of divine call to gospel music ministry,” a statement from her office noted.
According the celebrant, while addressing journalists at her resident in Oluyole area of Ibadan, the event which, scheduled to hold on Sunday, 28th July, would also attract the launching of the celebrant’s book and foundation.
Evangelist Aragbaiye said further that dignitaries expected at the occasion includef former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who is going to be the father of the day; and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christians Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enock Adejare Adeboye.
Spiritual father of the day will be the Most Reverend (Dr.) J. O. Akinfenwa, while the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; and His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adedapo Adewale Tejuoso (CON), the Osile of Oke Ona, Egba, will be royal father of the day.
Other dignitaries expected include all the South-West state governors and former governors.
Also, the chairman of the occasion will be the vice chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Adebowale, while the executive governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, is the chief host.
The event is to be covered and red carpeted by Apreel1 Events Television.
