The remains of the late CEO of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe, his wife, Doreen, and son Chizzy, were interred on Saturday at a private cemetery within the Wigwe University premises in Isiokpo shortly
after a funeral service held at the RCCG in Isiokpo in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Our reporter gathered that their remains were brought in separate vehicles and drove into the church premises at 11 am.
The funeral service was attended by many personalities to pay the late business mogul their last respects.
Contrary to media reports that Herbert Wigwe’s father, Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, slumped during the funeral of his late son, a credible police source confirmed that the old man did not slump.
The source dismissed the wild news outrightly, saying that Herbert Wigwe’s father was “Hale and hearty”. Even the Senate President (Godswill Akpabio) met and prayed for him.
“The story of Pa Wigwe’s collapse is false. We should allow the family to mourn its dead and not add to the pain by writing false stories,” the source added.”
Recall that Wigwe died alongside his wife, son, and former President of Nigeria Exchange, Mr. Abimbola Ogunbanjo in a helicopter crash in California, the United States of America on February 24, 2024.
