A former Director-General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Dr. Joe Abah, has revealed that President Bola Tinubu warned the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Betta Edu, and other ministers and advisers during a retreat organized for them not to fall into fraud traps.

The former DG made this known in a post on X while reacting to an opinion article by ex-MinisterOsita Chidoka.

In the opinion on the N585 million scandal rocking Edu, Chidoka, a former Minister of Aviation, said there were lapses in the training given to the new Ministers.

He said it was such a gap that was exploited by the civil servants around the suspended Minister.

But replying to Chidoka, Abah tweeted: “No o, Honourable Minister @osita_chidoka.

“We told them everything at the retreat o.

“I moderated the whole of the first day and Mr President got a message across to me not to rush the sessions.

“We told them everything and didn’t finish until 8 pm.”
