Ekiti 2026: LG campaign coordinators pledge to work harder for Obafemi’s success

The coordinators of Olugbenga Peter Obafemi Campaign Organisation (OPO) in the 16 local government areas of Ekiti State last Wednesday held a meeting with the governorship aspirant, Otunba Olugbenga Peter Obafemi, in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.

The meeting followed the formal declaration of governorship ambition by Otunba Obafemi, which took place on Tuesday August 5, 2025, in Ado Ekiti.

The purpose of the meeting was to consolidate on the success and gains of Tuesday’s program and to mobilize more PDP members into Otunba Obafemi’s campaign train.

The Head of the Coordinators, Hon Damilola Ajayi from Ido-Osi Local Government Area, who spoke on behalf of the coordinators, while thanking Otunba Obafemi, said that the coordinators had met shortly after Tuesday’s declaration and resolved to work harder to win more people into Otunba Obafemi’s campaign train.

Ajayi said that they were sure of Otunba Obafemi becoming the next governor of the state, pledging to spread the gospel to all the nooks and crannies of the state.

Earlier, the host, Otunba Obafemi, had welcomed the coordinators, charging them to work harder because they would be rewarded.

Otunba Obafemi implored the state coordinators to inaugurate the campaign organization in all the wards without delay.

He also called on the Coordinators to work effectively with the Local Government party chairmen for the success of Otunba Obafemi’s ambition.
