A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Peter Obi, has again insisted that he won Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election.
Obi made the claim while speaking on the Naija Unfiltered podcast on Saturday, maintaining that the official declaration did not reflect the true outcome of the poll.
According to him, he remains convinced that his campaign emerged victorious, but the system delivered a different result.
“I can show you today, as far as I’m concerned, I have run election for the office of the President of Nigeria and won. But the system decided otherwise and they know it,” Obi said.
He repeated the assertion, stressing that his position on the election has not changed.
“And we won. I can show you today as far as I’m concerned. I have run election for the office of the President of Nigeria and won. But the system decided otherwise and they know it,” he added.
Obi contested the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the Labour Party, where he secured six million votes according to the officially declared results
