President Bola Ahmed Tinubu stumbled during an official reception parade in Turkey, drawing public attention but quickly regained his balance and the programme continued uninterrupted.
The incident occurred as he inspected the guard of honour assembled for the ceremonial march-past.
Tinubu’s visit aims to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and Turkey, focusing on trade, defence, security, and investment. He’ll hold bilateral talks with Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan and sign memoranda of understanding on energy, infrastructure, and industrial development.
Senior officials accompanying Tinubu include Attorney-General Lateef Fagbemi, Minister of Finance Wale Edun, and Minister of Defence General Christopher Musa. The visit reinforces Nigeria’s efforts to expand international partnerships and attract investment.
