BREAKING: Gunmen kill two Ekiti traditional rulers, one escapes

Two traditional rulers in Ekiti State, the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsakin, and the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Samuel Olushola were reportedly ambushed and shot dead by the gunmen suspected to be kidnappers along Oke Ako Road, in Ikole Local Government Area of the state on Monday.

The Alara of Ara Ikole, Oba Fatoba who was traveling alongside them however escaped by whiskers from the scene.

The Chairman of Ajoni LCDA, Hon. Michael Ogungbemi confirmed the attack and the killing of the two traditional rulers.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Sunday Abutu promised to get back to our correspondent for details.
