Former deputy governor of Ondo State, Honourable Agboola Ajayi, has won the state’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election.
Ajayi polled 246 votes to clinch the party’s ticket for the November 16 governorship election.
The former deputy governor will contend with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Party (APC), Abbas Mimiko of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Ayodeji Akinnodi of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), among others, in the election.
The results, as released by the Ondo PDP on Thursday, indicated that apart from Ajayi’s 264 votes, Akingboye Bamidele has 24, Kolade Akinjo polled 157, Akinwunmi Adeolu got 64, Bosun Arebuwa had 02, Olusola Ebiseni polled 99, while John Mafo scored 09 votes.
