Prominent legal luminary and Aare Baamofin of Ibadanland, Barr. Aare Nureini Soladoye Jimoh, SAN, FCArb, ACITN, has, on behalf of himself and his family, extended heartfelt congratulations to business magnate and respected community leader, Oloye (Engineer) Dotun Sanusi, on his conferment as the Okanlomo Oodua of Yorubaland.

He also praised the Olubadan of Ibadan land, HIM Oba AbdulRasheed Ladoja, describing him as “an Oba with golden feet and rare passion for excellence. His reign will continue to attract immense and impressive growth to Ibadanland. Long may our dear Oba reign. Asee.”

The prestigious honor will be formally bestowed on the recipient today, Friday, 5th December, 2025, by His Imperial Majesty, Oonirisa Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, at the Ooni’s palace in Ile-Ife.

The ceremony is expected to attract eminent personalities, including His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Aare Jimoh further described the conferment as “well-deserved and emblematic of Engr. Sanusi’s unwavering dedication to the advancement of Ibadanland, Oodualand, and the Yoruba nation at large.”

He commended Engr. Sanusi’s contributions through Ilaji Hotel & Resorts, his philanthropic projects, and his commitment to fostering unity and development.

He further extended his goodwill to the President-General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Barr. Niyi Ajewole (Barr. Bayo), as well as the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, noting that the conferment is also a proud moment for Ibadan leadership and the entire state.

According to Aare Jimoh, the honor being bestowed reflects “the richness of Yoruba heritage and the value placed on steadfast service, cultural preservation, and community-building.”

He prayed for continued wisdom, strength, and divine favor for Engr. Sanusi as he assumes his new role in Yoruba traditional leadership.
