Town Hall Meeting: Tinubu govt explains gains, challenges of energy/power sector on Saturday

The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government will speak to Nigerians, both at home and in the Diaspora, on its efforts, gains and challenges in the energy/power sector of the country.

The event, which will be virtual, on Saturday, June 28, is at the instance of the Renewed Hope Global Virtual Conference, a body of home-based Nigerians and Diasporans that scrutinize activities of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government under President Tinubu.

With the topic, “Unbundling The Grid: The Future of a Decentralised Power Sector in Nigeria,” the virtual conference will also feature a one-hour question and answer session.

A statement by the Co-Host and leader of the Renewed Hope Global Virtual Conference, Ambassador Joseph Kolawole Adebola, at the weekend, indicated that the special guest who would be speaking with Nigerians, was the Executive Advisor on Power Systems and Energy Development, Professor Yemi Oke, SAN.

Ambassador Adebola explained that for citizens in Abuja and London, the United Kingdom (UK), the conference time would be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m

“For those in New York/Toronto, the time is 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.; for those in Moscow, it is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; while people in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, could join between 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

“To join the conference via Zoom, the ID is 4329105086, while the Passcode is Nigeria001,” he explained.

Ambassador Adebola enjoined Nigerians home and abroad to join the conference and prepare to make contributions, “so that we can all see the issues we have with the sector and make suggestions to move it towards our desired goal.”
