Please, share this story:
The Chairman of the Ogun State National Assembly caucus and Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Olamilekan Adeola popularly known among his people as Yayi, has thrown his full weight behind the All progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the upcoming by-election for the vacant seat in Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo Federal constituency, Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji.
The by-election scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2025, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is a crucial opportunity for the people of Ogun State to fill the vacant seat previously occupied by the late Hon. Adewumi Onanuga.
Senator Adeola said, “Thankfully, the people of Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo Federal Consistuency and Ogun State in general are fully at home with the All Progressives Congress led by Governor Dapo Abiodun. We must not alter the existing collaboration between the federal government and the state on the altar of wrong political decisions. It is time to stand against those who are always at home with everything and anything but peaceful conduct.
” Remo land being the home of our revered father, the late sage Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo can’t afford to soil her image by allowing persons of questionable character become the representative and face of the people. The late Sage will definitely turn in his grave even after so many years of passage. I urge the people to distance themselves from the people whose ethical values and character are totally at variance with what the late elder stateman stood for during his lifetime.
” I believe in the capacity of Hon Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji to leverage on the good work done by the late Hon Adewunmi Onanuga. Now the tempo can only be sustained by Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji. With her exposure, resume, and worldview, I believe in her capacity to give the people effective representation. I promise to always be available to lend helping hands upon her assumption at the National Assembly.
” Having done so much for the Federal Consistuency in the last six years plus, Excellency Governor Dapo Abiodun is in good stead to lead the party to a resounding victory comes Saturday. From the feelers, the people of Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo are now earnestly counting the minutes to do the needful. The Governor needs a full complement of National Assembly members from the state, and his home base can’t afford to be left out.
” Let us, therefore, troop out enmass to cast our votes for the APC candidate on Saturday, 16th August 2025.”
Signed,
Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola,
Chairman Ogun Caucus of National Assembly Members.
