Ahead of 2027 general election, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and governorship candidate during the last general election in Ogun State, Ladi Adebutu last Friday revalidated and transferred his party membership from Ikenne Ward 5 to Ward 4, Odo Alaro, in Odogbolu Local Government Area of the state.
Adebutu, a former House of Representatives member said he felt ashamed to have emerged from the same Iperu-Remo with the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Iperu-Remo is in the Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State, and the two gladiators hail from Iperu-Remo.
Adebutu lost to the incumbent governor, and may likely re-contest for the governorship seat in 2027 poll
Speaking to newsmen after the exercise, Adebutu declared that the PDP remained the only party that understood the act of governance and the light of the people.
He expressed disappointment at the level at which the present administration in the state was running the affairs of government, saying it had diminished the progress and development of the state.
Adebutu applauded the PDP as a responsive and people-oriented party.
