Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Otunba Olugbenga Peter Obafemi has felicitated former and first civilian governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, on his 67th birthday today.
In a press statement signed by the Olugbenga Peter Obafemi Media Vanguard, Obafemi, who is a PDP governorship aspirant in the 2026 Ekiti governor election, extolled the omoluabi and leadership qualities of the former industry, trade, and investment minister, describing him as a pride of Ekiti people, adding that as a statesman, he is highly commendable.
Obafemi, speaking further, said, “Your gentle, unassuming nature and ability to foster goodwill across political divides have earned you immense respect. Your immense contributions to Ekiti and Nigeria’s economic growth remain commendable, and your leadership continues to inspire many.”
Adebayo, a lawyer in 1999, won the governorship election landslide to become the first civilian governor of Ekiti State and did well to open the state for development.

May this new year bring you good health, joy, and continued fulfillment.
