Details have emerged about how Ayomikun, the only son of veteran Nigerian actress Peju Ogunmola, died on Tuesday, 2 September, 2025, at the age of 24.
Thegazellenews.com recalled that news of the death of Peju’s son hit social media late Tuesday, 2 September, 2025, but the cause was unknown.
Reports have now indicated that Ayomikun tragically lost his life after an accident in the bathroom.
He reportedly slipped and fell, and despite efforts to reach out for help, he could not be rescued in time.
Sources close to the family disclosed that Ayomikun, who was said to be living abroad, was alone at the time of the accident.
Lack of immediate attention worsened the situation for him, as he was said to be alone when the accident occurred.
Peju Ogunmola, who is based in Ibadan, is said to be completely shattered by the tragic loss.
Known for her strength and resilience in both her career and personal life, those close to her say this particular blow has left her inconsolable.
Friends and colleagues have reportedly been reaching out to console her and offer their support.
The veteran actress, daughter of late Yoruba theater legend Kola Ogunmola and wife to popular comic actor Sunday Omobolanle, also known as Papi Luwe, has always been admired for her dedication to the craft of acting.
