The immediate past Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Oleyelogun Bamidele David has congratulated the newly sworn-in Governor of Ondo State, Honourable Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his resumption of office as the 7th substantive Governor of the State, his wife, the first Lady, Mrs Esther Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, the Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, and wife, Mrs Abosede Olayide Adelami.
He especially appreciated the Wife of the Governor, Mrs Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, for supporting the Governor during his trying period.
Oleyelogun in his congratulatory message to Governor Aiyedatiwa, highlighted some of the very important expectations of the people of Isarun Community in Ifedore Local Government Area to the Governor.
He hailed the personality of Governor Aiyedatiwa for his style and manner of approach to settle crises, internal wranglings, and the instability within the APC in the State.
Oleyelogun, in the statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen from his country home in Isarun on Wednesday, described Governor Aiyedatiwa as a person whose ability to manage political crises, calm tension, and overcome controversies has second to none ever since the state was created in 1976.
Oleyelogun stated further, ” Governor Aiyedatiwa is a man with the double engine, who God has chosen to help the state despite strong opposition from some people.”
Oleyelogun described the Governor as a man of peace whose only goal was to ensure the crisis did not consume him, or degenerate into an uncontrollable situation in the State.
He described Aiyedatiwa’s emergence as Governor as a divine project from God, and that was why he was not consumed.”
Also, speaking on behalf of the people of Isarun, Oleyelogun pleaded with the Governor to beam his searchlight on the community to see for himself why the people deserve better attention from the government and bring infrastructural projects that will bring developments to the community.
He also called on the Governor to assist the Isarun Community by attracting Federal Government presence to the area, which will improve the social activities and lifestyles of the people.
The former speaker appealed to Governor Aiyedatiwa to fix the unpassable roads connecting the towns and villages in the LGA together so that none of the communities would be isolated or cut off from each other.
He also used the opportunity to praise and commend the energetic and dynamic State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Ondo State, Engineer Ade Adetimehin, for winning elections always.
Oleyelogun described the party chairman as a rallying point for the unity and progress of the party, adding that Ondo APC has witnessed progress under his leadership.
