PRESS RELEASE
The Anti-Vehicle Theft Section(AVTS) of the Ekiti State Police Command on 21/01/2025 arrested one Taiwo Johnson and Ibrahim Aderinto for conspiring and stealing one Toyota Corolla 2009 model from where parked at the owner’s compound in ILOMU -EKITI.
The Operatives trailed and arrested the suspects at Kajorepo-Ibadan, Oyo State after the complainant reported that his vehicle was stolen by Unknown thieves from his compound on 03/01/2025
The suspects, during the investigation, confessed to the commission of the crime and led the operatives to recover the stolen vehicle.
While the Command implores everyone to be conscious of their environment and report any suspicious person found within their environs to the Police, members of the public especially car owners are advised to be conscious and practice all car security measures such as: registering with the Force Central Motor Registry(CMR), installing tracking device, parking in the best places possible, installing tire locks, amongst others.
