The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved the David Mark-led executive of the African Democratic Party (ADC).
The electoral umpire on its official website confirmed David Mark as the party’s National Chairman.
Others are the National Secretary, a position held by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
Mani, Ibrahim Ahmad is the National Treasurer of the party while Akibu Dalhatu serves as the
National Financial Secretary.
The National Legal Adviser of the ADC is Prof. Oserheimen Aigberaodion Osunbor.
Recall that following the decision of the coalition of political leaders to use the ADC as its vehicle for the 2027 general elections, a faction of the party had resisted the move, insisting they were the original owners of the party.
According to them, the likes of David Mark, Aregbesola and others were not duly registered members of the party and had no right to lay claims to the party.
Now INEC have gone on to recognize the David Mark led faction of the party and published its executives as the authentic leadership of the party.
Recall that the National Publicity Secretary of ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, said that the party has successfully completed its documentations with the INEC.
Abdullahi, who made this affirmation on Monday, said the party has met all aspects of the documentation with the electoral umpire.
“We have successfully completed our documentations with INEC. In fact, we were able to meet the outstanding documentation as of Thursday last week,” he said.
Some of the outstanding issues were said to be the submission of names of principal officers of the party, including the signatures of the National Chairman, David Mark and the National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola.
