As the Ondo Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary election holds today, former Ondo Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi has expressed confidence in grabbing the ticket with a comfortable margin.
Agboola, who spoke in a chat with journalists on Thursday morning, said he has gone around the 18 local government areas to campaign on why he remained the best option to rout the APC out of power.
He said “I possessed the political will to turn the state around for the citizens to be happy.
“You can see that the APC is already a divided house. The PDP needs a strong candidate like myself to secure victory.
“The November poll would be a walkover for the PDP if the delegates lived up to their promises to vote for him.
“I am very optimistic of winning today’s primary. I have told the delegates my vision and mission and they know that I know how to take care of party members. They know I can make everybody happy.
“I have told them about my plans to develop infrastructure in the riverine communities. I assured them of plans to create jobs and make life meaningful for Ondo people.”
Agboola is one of the seven aspirants seeking to emerge as the party’s flag bearer in the November governorship election.
A total of 627 delegates are to participate in the polls.
