Armed bandits led by kingpin Babaro have stormed Kankara LGA of Katsina state and taken over the entire area.
Security analyst, Bakatsine revealed in a post on his X handle that the bandits have already killed several people and banned farming activities in the area.
“BREAKING: Bandits led by feared warlord, Babaro seize control of Kankara LGA, Katsina State. Farming was banned from Marabar Kankara to Yantumaki, dozens were killed/kidnapped, and healthcare collapsed.
Residents beg Gov Dikko Radda & FG for urgent intervention,” he wrote.
Kankara has long been a hotbed of terrorist attacks and kidnapping activities in Katsina state.
Authorities are yet to comment on the situation at the time of filing this report.
