The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed 150 as the minimum cut-off mark for admission into Nigerian universities for the 2025 academic session.

This decision was announced by the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, during the 2025 Policy Meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday.

The new benchmark represents an increase from last year’s cut-off mark of 140.

For other institutions, the approved cut-off marks are as follows: Polytechnics – 100, Colleges of Education – 100, Schools of Nursing – 140, and Colleges of Agriculture – 100.

The Registrar stressed that institutions are not permitted to admit candidates below these minimum thresholds.
