Zarttech has officially announced the cessation of its business operations, accompanied by a public apology to its partners, clients, and all individuals affected by its activities.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the company acknowledged the challenges encountered throughout its journey and stressed its commitment to accountability, transparency, and respect for stakeholders.

Founded with the goal of bridging the global tech talent gap, Zarttech played a significant role in connecting skilled information technology professionals from Africa, South America, and Europe with international opportunities. The platform sought to eliminate barriers that often hinder access to global employment, while promoting fairness in tech recruitment and showcasing the capabilities of African developers on the world stage.

“While the company’s chapter has come to an end, the impact of the conversations it helped spark about African talent, global collaboration, and opportunity without borders continues to shape the technology industry,” the statement read.

Beyond its core operations, Zarttech was also involved in initiatives aimed at empowering women in technology across Africa through training and educational programmes, reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity and equal access to opportunities.

Headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands, the company’s closure marks the end of its direct operations. However, its contributions are widely seen as part of a broader shift in global perceptions of African tech talent and innovation.
