Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has made two new appointments.
The governor appointed Dr. Aderemi Ayodele as a member of the state Advisory Council, while he also appointed Ayodele Sonubi, a retired Commissioner of Police, as Executive Adviser (Rule of Law Enforcement).
According to a statement by Makinde’s Special Adviser (Media), Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, on Friday, Dr. Ayodele’s appointment takes immediate effect, while Sonubi’s takes effect from April 1, 2025.
The appointments, according to Olanrewaju, were announced in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.
Dr. Ayodele is a former chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission.
He had previously served as the Chairman of Ibadan North-West Local Government.
Sonubi is the immediate-past Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command.
Olanrewaju said Governor Makinde charged the new appointees to discharge their duties with commitment, dedication and loyalty to the state.
