‘Lead your subjects by example,’ Olubadan charges traditional rulers

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Senator) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa 1), has charged traditional rulers to lead by example, “so as to sanitise the traditional institution.”

The call was made by Oba Ladoja when receiving the Olofin Isheri-Olofn, Lagos State, Oba (Dr.) Ibrahim Lawal Bello, who paid him courtesy visit at the Olubadan Palace Oke-Aremo, Ibadan, on Tuesday.

According to Oba Ladoja, Ibadanland would collaborate with Isheri in the area of project establishment.

“Isheri town has many things in common with Ibadanland, such as seeking for peaceful co-existence, promotion and preservation of Yoruba cultural values, love of our people and desire to take our towns to enviable position,” Olubadan said.

Earlier in his speech, Oba Lawal expressed appreciation to the Olubadan for the warm reception accorded him and members of his entourage.

“We are in your palace to learn more about your leadership qualities and litany of achievements, so as to reach our desired goals in life and replicate such achievements,” Olofin stressed.

In conclusion, he prayed. God to endow Oba Ladoja with sound health and longevity of life in the service of God and humanity.
Gracing the occasion were members of the Olubadan Advisory Council and other traditional title holders.
