Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has openly addressed long-standing public perceptions about his personal life, saying he has changed his ways.
The singer made the statement on Thursday in Benin City during the MC EdoPikin Undiluted with StarBoy and Legends show, moments before stepping on stage to perform.
Speaking directly to the audience, 2Face said he now feels the need to speak openly wherever he goes in order to set the record straight.
“I get confession. I dey make this confession everywhere I go now to correct things. I don stop to dey do that kind of thing. I don stop to dey give belle anyhow,” he said in Pidgin English.
The award-winning artiste has often been in the public spotlight over the years due to reports of relationships with multiple women and having children outside his marriage.
2Face’s first known relationship was with Sumbo Adeoye, with whom he has two sons, Zion and Nino. He later had three children with Pero Adeniyi between 2006 and 2012.
With his former wife, actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia, the singer shares two daughters.
The couple, who married in 2012, reportedly divorced in 2025.
