Please, share this story:

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, who along with other Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains were expelled from the party for anti-party activities, has vowed not join the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

The former governor said notwithstanding his present predicament, his loyalty remains with the PDP.

Speaking in an interview at his Lagos residence on Friday, Fayose described recent pressures to defect as politically motivated but legally and morally unacceptable.

He dismissed claims that a faction of the PDP had expelled him, calling such announcements “null and void” and emphasising that party matters are ultimately determined by the Federal High Court.

“Nobody expelled me. Whatever they announced at that so-called convention has already been declared a nullity by the Federal High Court. PDP is bigger than any individual or faction,” he said.

“Despite pressures from the Buhari administration to defect, I refused. I will not join APC under any circumstances,” he added.
