The Director-General of the campaign organisation of Wole Oluyede, Chief Makanjuola Ogundipe, has assured residents of Ekiti State that improved governance and better living conditions will return if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is voted back into power.
Ogundipe, a former PDP National Vice Chairman (South West), made this known in a press statement issued in Ado Ekiti through the campaign’s Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi.
He expressed confidence that the state would witness renewed development under a PDP administration, arguing that previous PDP governments in Ekiti delivered progress, improved living standards, enhanced economic activities, and ensured security of lives and property.
According to him, the PDP’s governance record remains superior, stating that even the least-performing PDP administration outshines the performance of administrations led by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ogundipe criticised the APC, alleging that its administrations have negatively impacted the welfare of the people, while also accusing the ruling party of benefiting from flawed electoral processes.
He therefore urged Ekiti voters to turn out in large numbers on June 20, 2026, to support Oluyede at the polls.
The campaign chief also cautioned against vote-buying, warning that short-term financial inducements could lead to prolonged hardship.
“If you sell your vote for ₦100,000, you have signed up for another four years of suffering. The money will not last, but the consequences will,” he said.
He called on the electorate to use their votes as a tool for change, emphasising the need to restore what he described as the “good days” of PDP governance in Ekiti State.
