Ekiti PDP passes vote of confidence on Chairman, Agboola … urges members to sheath swords, foster unity … commends Olujimi

The Ekiti Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, held a meeting of Ekiti State Coalition of PDP Stakeholders in Ado Ekiti at the residence of Chief Makanjuola Ogundipe, former State Chairman and National Vice Chairman (South-West).

Here is the communique of the meeting:

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF THE MEETING OF THE EKITI STATE COALITION OF PDP STAKEHOLDERS (ECOPS), HELD IN ADO EKITI, AT THE RESIDENCE OF THE FORMER STATE AND SOUTH WEST ZONAL CHAIRMAN, CHIEF MAKANJU OGUNDIPE*

Ekiti Coalition of PDP Stakeholders is in total support of everything that will bring peace back to our party in Ekiti State.

The Coalition reiterated our support and commitment to the success of the Ekiti State Chairman of PDP, Engr Alaba Agboola, and encouraged him to do more in his numerous reconciliation efforts to further unite the party.

The Coalition thanked and appreciated the leader of PDP in Ekiti State, Senator Biodun Olujimi for her great efforts as the rallying point for our party in Ekiti State, which has assisted in no small measure to strengthen the party and further reconciled numerous aggrieved members.

The meeting also appreciated the efforts of our National leaders of the party, particularly His Excellency Atiku Abubakar and the NWC, and encouraged them to do more to give the party a clear direction to success, which is needed most at this crucial period.

The Ekiti Coalition of PDP Stakeholders inaugurated the following Committees to assist in several areas of interest to bring more succor and progress to the party;

1. Reconciliation Committee
2. Mobilisation Committee
3. Contact Committee
4. Planning Committee
5. Implementation Committee
6. Monitoring Committee
7. Evaluation Committee
8. Media and Publicity Committee.

The Committees were entrusted with responsibilities that would further entrench PDP in Ekiti State and were saddled with filing field reports once a month.

The Ekiti Coalition of PDP Stakeholders further appealed to every leader and group within the party to stop fanning any ember of discord and to sheath their swords in the overall interest of the party and its teeming members.
