The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, present a Certificate of Return to the winner of the Ekiti PDP governorship primary election held on November 8, 2025, Dr. Wole Oluyede.
According to the press statement by the Publicity Secretary of the Ekiti State PDP, Prince Osin Adekanmbi, made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti today, the ceremony of presentation of the Certificate of Return to Oluyede will take place at Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Center, One Memorial Drive, Municipal, Abuja, by 11 am.
The presentation will be done by the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN).
The press statement of the State Publicity Secretary reads:
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will officially and formally present the party’s certificate of return to our gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Wole Oluyede.
The presentation ceremony will be held as stated below:
Date: Wednesday, 10th Dec, 2025.
Time: 11:00 AM
Venue: Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
This event marks the official ratification and endorsement of our governorship candidate, Dr. Wole Oluyede, as the standard bearer of our great party in the 20th June, 2025 election in Ekiti State.
The party under our steady and focused National Chairman Bar. Taminu Turaki (SAN) remains united and strategically positioned to reclaim Ekiti State from the ruling APC government, and PDP is diligently executing its roadmap to victory.
Party leaders, members, and media are cordially invited to attend this significant ceremony.

During the governorship primary adjudged very transparent and rancor-free by the PDP Primary Electoral Committee, the INEC, and the security operatives present, Oluyede scored 279 votes to beat Funso Ayeni, who scored 239 votes, and Mrs. Funmilayo Ogun, who scored 17 votes.
Speaking with The Pathfinder, the Ekiti State Chairman of the PDP Chief Tunji Odeyemi said that “a new dawn has arrived in Ekiti as the Ekiti PDP is rapidly moving to reposition itself to win the June 2026 Governorship Election.”
Odeyemi assures Ekiti people that their days of suffering under the All Progressive Congress (APC)-led government maladministration are over.
The chairman has advice for the APC and Governor Biodun Oyebanji, saying, “Begin to prepare your handing-over note now.”
