The Director of Communication of the campaign organisation of Wole Oluyede, Chief Sanya Atofarati, has congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate following his recognition by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the June 20, 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State.

In a statement issued in Ado Ekiti, Atofarati described Oluyede’s inclusion on the ballot as a significant victory, declaring that it signals an unstoppable march toward electoral success.
“This is no small victory. It is a clear indication that Dr. Wole Oluyede is unstoppable in the forthcoming election,” he said.

Atofarati, who also serves as PDP South West Publicity Secretary, said Oluyede’s campaign agenda reflects a departure from past governance patterns, promising impactful leadership that will directly improve the lives of Ekiti residents.

He highlighted key challenges facing the state, including poor road infrastructure, unreliable electricity, insecurity, and inadequate water supply, asserting that Oluyede possesses the competence and vision to address them.

Describing the PDP candidate as a selfless and accomplished professional, Atofarati noted that his leadership style is rooted in consultation, teamwork, and service delivery.

Atofarati lambasted the social media handlers of the Oyebanji administration for selectively circulating only the page of the INEC document that featured Oyebanji’s name, while deliberately omitting the page containing Oluyede’s name and those of other party candidates.

He questioned the motive behind what he described as a “primitive and deceptive tactic,” noting that Ekiti people are already aware of the full contents of the document, which is in the public domain.

“Who exactly are they trying to deceive?” Atofarati asked. “Rather than mislead the people, they are only further demarketing Oyebanji and the All Progressives Congress (APC), a party increasingly associated with a culture of deceit. Their unwritten motto appears to be: ‘Governing by deceit.’”

The PDP chieftain also reminded the public that the recognition accorded to the APC governorship candidate remains provisional, as his candidacy is still being contested in court. He urged Ekiti voters to remain vigilant and align with the PDP.

He called on the electorate to rally behind Oluyede, expressing confidence that his administration would usher in a new era of development and improved living conditions in the state.
