A frontline governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Otunba Peter Obafemi, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria, particularly in Ekiti State, on the successful completion of their Ramadan fast.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Otunba Obafemi described Ramadan as a sacred period of spiritual renewal, discipline, and selflessness, urging Muslims to continue upholding the virtues of the holy month in their daily lives.
“As you complete the sacred journey of Ramadan, may the blessings of this holy month remain with you. Let the virtues of patience, sacrifice, and compassion continue to guide your daily lives,” he said.
Obafemi further called on the Muslim faithful to remain steadfast in their commitment to nation-building by being good citizens and fostering peace and unity in their communities.
“May this season inspire us all to be better citizens, fostering unity, peace, and love in our communities. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous Eid-el-Fitr,” he added.
He prayed that the lessons of Ramadan would continue to reflect in the actions of all Nigerians, urging them to sustain the spirit of love and sacrifice beyond the fasting period.
The governorship hopeful also reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring a prosperous Ekiti State where peace, development, and inclusivity remain paramount.
