The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Wole Oluyede, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across the state and beyond, urging them to uphold the values of love, unity, and peaceful coexistence.

In an Easter message conveyed through his Special Adviser on Media, Gani Salawu, and made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti, Oluyede thanked God for the successful completion of the 40-day fasting and prayer period.

He called on Christians to reflect the teachings of Jesus Christ, particularly the virtues of love, sacrifice, and compassion, emphasizing the need to live in harmony with one another regardless of differences.

The PDP candidate stressed the importance of unity among Christians and encouraged them to extend the same spirit of togetherness to people of other faiths for the progress of society.

Oluyede also appealed to the people of Ekiti State to remain patient in the final months of the administration of Biodun Oyebanji, while urging continuous prayers for a peaceful and credible governorship election on June 20.

“It is my sincere appeal that you continue to pray for a peaceful election and a smooth transition,” he said.

The internationally trained medical consultant further described all citizens as one family, calling for collective responsibility in building a better Ekiti.

He used the opportunity to seek the support of the electorate, assuring them that his administration would implement people-oriented programmes capable of transforming the state and improving the lives of its residents.
