Afrobeats star David Adeleke popularly known as Davido who followed his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State to join the Accord Party ( AP) will collect his membership card today.
The singer revealed on Tuesday via X (formerly Twitter) that he would collect his membership card on Wednesday.
“I will be live in Osun to pick up my @AccordPartyNG membership card @ IMOLE HOUSE OSOGBO Tomorrow… see you soon ACCORDINGLY,” he wrote.
Recall that Governor Adeleke, officially defected to the Accord Party to seek re-election in 2026.
The governor publicly declared his membership two weeks ago at an event attended by national and state leaders of the party, held at the Government House Banquet Hall in Osogbo.
Explaining his decision, Governor Adeleke stated, “I joined the Accord Party more than a month ago, precisely November 6th, as a platform to seek re-election in 2026 due to the crisis in the PDP.”
