Please, share this story:

Thai fighter Yuttapong Tongdee was on the receiving end of sharp left-handed body shot from South Korea’s Ye Joon Kim in the fourth round of their WBA Asia Gold Super Bantamweight Title fight in Lahore, Pakistan.

Tongdee, who had won all but one of his 16 professional fights, was floored by Kim’s deadly punch to the gut and immediately fell to the canvas in pain.

Referee Tony Weeks waved off the contest after counting to six and Tongdee rolled towards the ropes as he attempted to catch his breath.

The 32-year-old was seen wincing in pain as he put his hands through the ropes before he vomited towards the outside of the ring.

Tongdee was helped to his feet by Weeks and his coaching team before the ringside doctor came over to check on him.

Kim’s victory marked a successful return to the ring after he was beaten by Japanese world champion Naoya Inoue in January.

The South Korean took that fight at just 11 days’ notice and was knocked out by Inoue in the fourth round.
