Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, the daughter of business mogul, Femi Otedola, has lamented how terrible it is to be single and childless at over 30 years.

The 31-year-old lady who is a disc jockey had
via her X account, said: “Being a single, childless woman in her 30s is terrible. All I ever do is exactly what I want, all the time.”
In December 2022, the Gelato singer got engaged to her ex-lover, Ryan Taylor.

Taking another toll, she announced in July 2023 via her social media that she had parted ways with Taylor.

This happened barely seven months after their engagement.

Speaking at a recent event, DJ Cuppy, said despite being from a privileged background, her life has been “unpredictable”

She said: “There is a power in uncertainty. There is a power in not being sure there is also power in failure. Even the biggest, most successful women; don’t always do well. They don’t always sell out arenas or bestselling books. Failure is inevitable. We will all have failure in our personal lives and our professional lives.”

Using herself as an example, she said: “I can stand here and tell you how unpredictable my life has been despite being from a privileged background. Whether it is my failed jewellery line which I started at 28 years old or going to the University of Oxford at 29 and almost failing class.

“To add the cherry on top, last year I got engaged but now I am no longer engaged but such is life. I know my story is still happening but there is more to come and I am okay with the uncertainty.”
