Comrade Mashood Erubami, a human rights activist and President of the Coalition for Democracy in Nigeria, has joined thousands of well wishers from Nigeria and overseas to congratulate Col. Lateef Kayode Are (rtd.) over his ambassadorial appointment, wishing him success in his new assignment.

He described his new role in nation’s building as an ambassador to represent Nigeria a well-deserved appointment to serve in another trusted role under the current political leadership in the country.

The appointment, according to Erubami, is coming after Kayode Are’s excellent performance as the Director General of the State Security services (SSS) and later as National Security Adviser (NSA), stressing that this new appointment is no doubt a reassuring path to acquiring a better name for Nigeria.

He expressed delight to hear about the appointment, “which is well thought out by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

Comrade Erubami recalled his first meeting with Are in Abuja, where they both knew their family dynasty interconnected.

He said he had since admired his unwavered brotherly love, dedication and commitment to state duties, especially since his first assignment as Director-General of the National intelligence Agency (NIA) and as NSA.

Comrade Erubami, therefore, congratulated the President for considering “this gallant soldier, an intelligence expert, for ambassadorial appointment,” describing him as a round peg in a round hole, and recalling “his profound intelligence gathering potentials,” which are currently needed in the country’s circumstance to help positively market Nigeria to the world when it is necessary, especially at a particular time that the country is being evaluated lowly on the scale of insecurity, economic jeopardy and global best practices.

Comrade Erubami called on Are to use his garnered military experience in extensive intelligence gathering and management locally and internationaly, combined with his acquired variants of professional competences as a gallant soldier with the intellectual prowess acquired from the best of the universities across the world, among which are the University of Ibadan and University of Lagos.

The ambasador-designate is an outstandingingly brilliant Nigerian with a first class first degree followed with a Masters, which gave him an exceptional recognition for the ambassadorial appointment, correctly valued in contents and well evaluated in context testifying to his past hard work, dedication, and quintessential leadership that brew from his skills, rare talents and vision.

Comrade Erubami further said he had no doubt that he would perform the task to be allotted to his new offices amazingly as an ambassador.

He further expressed his strong belief that Ambassador Kayode Are will not only perform his roles diligently and ethically but also excel in this new office ending up making a tremendous impact.

Erubami said, he was so much convinced this time around that he would equally maintain a higher level of excellence and integrity in the new office of an ambassador while discharging his duties and obligations, a feat that Nigerians will proudly wait to applaud.

Finally, he wish him the very best of luck and great success in this next step into an ambassadorial career in Nigeria
May the Almighty Allah sees him through the challenges of this important chapter of his life in another national representation.

Comrade Erubami concluded Ambassador Lateef Kayode Are will undoubtedly represent Nigeria with honor and distinction as a blessed Son of Egbaland in Ogun State, Nigeria.
