All roads will converge on Ekiti State this Tuesday, March 31, 2026, as the Wole Oluyede Campaign Organisation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ignites what is already being described as a political earthquake — a massive rally tagged “Restoration of Hope to Ekiti People.”
The rally, convened to formally launch the governorship campaign of Dr. Wole Oluyede ahead of the June 20, 2026 election, is set to send a clear and resounding message that the days of political stagnation in Ekiti are numbered.
In a strongly worded statement issued in Ado Ekiti on Saturday, the Campaign Organisation’s Director of Communication, Chief Sanya Atofarati, declared that Oluyede has not only weathered every political storm thrown his way but has emerged stronger, more determined, and unstoppable in the march to reclaim Ekiti Government House.
Atofarati described the rally as the “mother of all political gatherings,” warning that Ikere Ekiti will witness an unprecedented show of strength, unity, and resolve from a people ready to take back their future.
“This is not just a rally; it is a movement,” he asserted. “Ekiti people have seen through the deception, endured the hardship, and are now ready to restore competence, credibility, and true leadership.”
The Campaign Organisation called on party loyalists, supporters of Dr. Oluyede, and all Ekiti residents who are fed up with the current state of affairs to troop out en masse and be part of what it described as the beginning of a political liberation.
“March 31 will not just be another date — it will mark the turning point in Ekiti’s history,” the statement concluded.
