The Wole Oluyede Campaign Organisation has unveiled what it described as the true meaning of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s campaign slogan, “Leekansi,” branding it as a coded message for the continuation of hardship in Ekiti State.

In a statement issued by its Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, and made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti on Sunday, the Organisation described “Leekansi” as nothing but “Ijiya Leekansi”—a continuation of suffering, poverty, insecurity, and backwardness.

According to the Organisation, “Leekansi” translates directly to:
Continuity of hunger (Inira/Idamu)
Continuity of poverty (Ise/Osi/Ebi)
Continuity of insecurity (Idamu/Iforo)
Continuity of backwardness (Idapada sehin)
Continuity of failed governance
The Organisation warned Ekiti people to reject the slogan outright.

“The only way to avoid Ijiya Leekansi is to avoid Oyebanji like a plague,” the statement said.

EKITIKETE, DON’T BE DECEIVED
The Campaign Organisation declared that Ekiti cannot afford another four years of what it described as failed leadership under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“We have watched our once-proud Fountain of Knowledge deteriorate,” the statement read.
Hospitals have become waiting rooms of despair
Youths are fleeing in search of survival
Workers are struggling without adequate rewards
Pensioners have been neglected
“They told you to wait for ‘continuity.’ What they truly mean is—continue to suffer.”

A DIRECT QUESTION TO EKITI PEOPLE
The Organisation asked:
“Do you want another four years of hunger, poverty, and backwardness?”
“The answer is NO.”

OLUYEDE: A DIFFERENT CHOICE
The Organisation presented Wole Oluyede, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate as a credible alternative, describing him as a leader with integrity, vision, and the capacity to reposition Ekiti State.
“He represents hope, purposeful leadership, and a future where prosperity and dignity are accessible to all,” the statement added.

FINAL CALL TO ACTION
The Campaign Organisation urged Ekiti voters to make a decisive choice on June 20, 2026:
Don’t vote for suffering
Don’t vote for deception
Don’t vote for “Leekansi”
Vote for hope.
Vote for progress.
Vote for Wole Oluyede.
“Give Oluyede your trust, and he will deliver a future that is healthy, prosperous, and dignified for all Ekiti people.”
