The Oyo State Government has commenced the 2025 promotion exercise for over 3,000 qualified secondary school teachers across the state, in a move aimed at rewarding diligence and strengthening the education sector.

Chairman of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission, Olubukola Oladipo, expressed satisfaction with the smooth and orderly conduct of the exercise while monitoring the process.

Addressing participants, Oladipo urged the teachers to reciprocate the commitment of Governor Seyi Makinde by contributing their best efforts toward improving education in the state.

She emphasised the need for dedication, professionalism, and punctuality, noting that the promotion exercise is designed to reward hard work and encourage improved service delivery.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of TESCOM, Serifat Abimbola, described the promotion as a call to greater responsibility and renewed commitment.

She highlighted the vital role teachers play in nation-building through quality education, urging beneficiaries to uphold high standards in their duties.

The monitoring exercise was attended by top officials of the commission, including the TESCOM chairman, permanent secretary, and other senior staff.
