Prominent Ibadan son and the Akogun of Aliiwo Dynasty, Prince Muji Armstrong-Bello, has congratulated Senator Mohammed Kola Balogun as he marks his birthday today.
Senator Balogun, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), was the national secretary of the defunct National Consensus Party.
In a letter containing the congratulatory message, a copy made available to The Pathfinder Newspaper on Sunday in Ibadan, Armstrong-Bello extolling the qualities of Senator Balogun said: Let’s celebrate a remarkable individual, blood brother and esteemed Senator Mohammed Kola Balogun as he marks his 69th birthday anniversary.
“A distinguished member of the 9th Assembly, his dedication to public service and commitment to the well-being of our fatherland are truly inspiring.
” As we honor his life and service, we acknowledge his tireless efforts in shaping the future of our nation through his legislative work. His passion for the people and his unwavering commitment to their welfare are qualities that make him an exemplary leader.
” Beyond his public service, we also celebrate his role as a devoted family man. His love and support for his Aliiwo family are a testament to his character and values.
” On this special day, I wish my brother and mentor many more years of inspiring service to our fatherland and his family.
“May his wisdom, experience, and leadership continue to guide us, and may he be blessed with good health, joy, and happiness.
” Happy birthday, dear brother!”
Senator Balogun, a brother of the late Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun, gained prominence for defeating the incumbent governor of Oyo State, Senator Biola Ajimobi in the 2019 Senatorial elections.
The senator is a graduate of North Texas State University, Denton, Texas.
In another development, Armstrong-Bello has sent greetings to his esteemed kinsmen in the Diaspora on the occasion of the 2025 Aliiwo Day celebration in the UK
