The Federal Roads Safety Corps has reiterated its commitment to ensuring zero carnage on Ekiti roads, not only during the current yuletide season but also after.
The Area Commander, RS8.2C2 Obadore Area Command of Ekiti, Deputy Corps Commander Samuel Taiwo Adekolajo who made this known yesterday, said this was in keeping with the determination of the State Sector Commander RS8.2, Ekiti Sector Command, Corps Commander Elijah Olusola Joseph to fully re-orientate all categories of road users toward a new path.
He spoke in Ikole-Ekiti, headquarters of Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State at the End of the Year Special intervention for gridlock and crash-prone areas, held for road transport workers at the Central Motor Park of the town.

He said the large turnout was a sign of respect and love they have for FRSC, urging them to reflect the same in the way and manner they drive on the roads.
He equally enlightened drivers and Okada riders on the need to always imbibe safety rules all through this festivity season and beyond.
Other safety issues highlighted by the Area Commander included the overloading violation, the concept of defensive driving, the use of a safety helmet,
vehicle maintenance, dangerous driving, as well as a traffic light and lane discipline among others.
