Alawe congratulates Olufunke Ogunbode on promotion to police commissioner

An Ekiti first-class monarch, the Alawe of Ilawe-Ekiti, HRM Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, AFUNTADE 1, has congratulated Mrs Olufunke Adeayo Ogunbode, an illustrious daughter of Ilawe-Ekiti on her elevation to the position of Commissioner of police.

According to a press statement issued by High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi, the media adviser to the monarch, the Alawe also congratulated the Adetayo family of Ilawe and the entire Ilawe-Ekiti Community for this good development.

Oba Alabi said: ‘It is a thing of Joy that Ilawe-Ekiti indigenes are always excelling in whatever position they find themselves,’ stressing that Mrs Ogunbode’s elevation was the latest of such achievements.

The Alawe stated that the promotion came as a result of Ogunbode’s dedication and professionalism on duty.

Oba Alabi wishes the new commissioner of Police God’ss guidance in her new position.

Mrs. Ogunbode was the Assistant Commissioner of the Police, pensions department, and police headquarters before her elevation.
