50 dump APC for NNPP in Kano

No fewer than 50 members of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) from Kibiya Ward in Kibiya Local Government Area of Kano State have defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP)

This was disclosed in a statement by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Balarabe Kiru, on Wednesday in Kano.

The commissioner of the ministry, Adamu Kibiya, welcomed the defectors into NNPP, citing Governor Abba Yusuf’s commitment to good governance and development projects.

According to him, the governor has implemented projects in health, education, infrastructure, empowerment, and agriculture, benefiting residents of Kano.

“The NNPP will support you. Remain steadfast in ensuring the administration’s success,” he told the new members.

Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Yakubu Alhaji said they joined NNPP in recognition of the party’s commitment to development and good governance under Governor Abba Yusuf’s administration.

The councillor for Kibiya Ward, Auwalu Sarki, disclosed that more groups were set to join NNPP, praising the commissioner’s efforts in promoting the party and Governor Yusuf’s policies in Kibiya Local Government Area.

Sarki added that the commissioner’s work had been instrumental in attracting supporters to the party.
